Great location. Accessing the home was on a side road that was a tight squeeze for a large vehicle but it was a quiet road and we did fit in our Tahoe. Walkable to coffee and a few restaurants. Short drive to other restaurants. We had an issue with the home but it was quickly remedied so overall, fantastic stay. Beds were comfy, pool and hot tub were fun, and had enough space for my family.

This is a top class Airbnb rental. Great location, and a really beautiful home. The outside spaces including pool, grill, outdoor seating and hot tub are amazing, while feeling peaceful and secluded. House is really well appointed with kitchen and cleaning gear. Beds also very comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at Kimberly’s place! It was exactly what we needed - a quick walk to the beach and a lovely outside space (including a very nice hot tub!)
The property is looking a little tired in a couple of places but did not do anything to affect our enjoyment of the place at all and we all said that we would go back in a heartbeat!
Kimberly was also very accommodating and allowed us to leave our luggage in the laundry room whilst we spent the day in La Jolla before our flight home, which was so helpful!

This is a very nice place in a very nice location. I could walk to the beach, grocery, and coffee shop. The hot tub and pool was working and clean. The beds were comfortable & like new. Can’t wait to come back!!

We had a great stay! The location was great- walkable to beach, shops and restaurants. Loved the privacy and security of the lot. Plenty of room and well stocked. We did have some issues that Kimberly addressed right away. There is some wear and tear with furniture and cabinets- but all minor things I would expect with a rental.

I had a lovely stay in La Jolla. The house was very clean, I loved that all the rooms had king beds. Great amenities such as the pool, jacuzzi and gas fireplace.

The location was fantastic, the house was just we needed. While the kitchen doesn’t have a lot of items, it had everything we needed. The space was clean and the beds were comfortable. There is a lot within walking distance including a market and a few restaurants. We would absolutely come back!

Our family stayed at Kimberly's place for Christmas week and had a wonderful time. The common space was large, clean and well-equipped. This was also one of the nicest and best-equipped kitchens that I have seen in an Airbnb. Parking in the driveway was incredibly helpful, since street parking in that area can be tough. We were able to easily walk to WindandSea beach, (where we did a bit of tide pooling and watched gorgeous sunsets) and along the shore, as well as excellent restaurants. It was a rainy week, so we didn't use the pool, but the hot tub was clean and private. Beds were comfortable, showers were hot and had good water pressure, and laundry was easy to access. Kimberly was extremely responsive and flexible with us.

Had a great stay with my two little kids and grandparents. We loved the pool, hot tub, and great location near the beach (and coffee shops). Like other posts the house does show some wear and tear, but given the pool + hot tub + location relative to price of other similar properties I'd definately recommend staying here.

Kimberly’s place was very comfortable. The master bedroom was sizable and mattress and pillows quit comfortable. My only critique was we could not get the back fire pit to work. If we did something wrong some more detailed instructions may have helped. The jacuzzi was heated and ready to go. Plenty of towels etc. walkable to ocean and restaurants. Very nice! Kimberly was quickly responsive regarding questions.

I cannot say enough about Kimberley’s Bamboo Hideaway! The home was beautiful and perfect with wonderful amenities! Walking distance to great restaurants and the ocean and a quick drive to so much more. Kimberley was extremely responsive with any questions that I had and check in and check out were so smooth and easy. This trip was a much needed ‘reset’ trip for myself and my guests and the only down part was that 4 nights were not enough! I will definitely be back and also be looking at Kimberley’s other properties as well!

Lovely private home! We were there for my niece‘s wedding in La Jolla. My son, my husband, my sister-in-law, my daughter and I had plenty of room! The pool and hot tub were perfectly clean and warmed. The house was so cozy. Kimberly was very responsive with all our questions.

Location is unmatched. Less than a block from multiple restaurants, coffee shops, grocery, and beach! The home was great, felt private and peaceful. The perfect stay for our 3 couples and new baby. We will try to book again if we plan another La Jolla vacation

This place was fabulous my son and his buddy were able to be outside in the pool or jacuzzi while we were inside or out grabbing a bite to eat
Our doggie absolutely loved it as well
The beach chairs were an extra incentive as well to take to the beautiful beaches a short drive away from the home

Fun little hideaway in south La Jolla. A quick 5 minute walk to Windansea Beach and a quick drive south to Bird Rock or north to downtown La Jolla. The house was very clean, a little worn in but overall, a great stay. Would recommend!

My family of 4 (3 adults, 1 teen) had a wonderful stay! The house is lovely and roomy with a great floor plan. All of the necessary amenities were included (kitchen appliances, utensils, dishes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, ample toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, etc). The location can not be beat - a short and beautiful walk to the beach and restaurants, a quick drive to shopping. It was great to have a private, large, heated pool and hot tub, though the area could use a tiny bit of TLC. Beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. The large sectional was a great place for all 4 of us to watch a movie. Kimberley was an excellent host - super friendly and responsive. Overall, we were very pleased and would stay here again.

This Airbnb was perfect. We were here for our wedding weekend and this place was perfectly centralized for all our last minute needs. And it was 5 min from our venue. The house has everything you’ll need. And an added bonus is that is walking distance to the beach.

While the home & furnishings are well worn, Kimberley did indicate that replacement furniture is on order. The backyard pool and hot tub were wonderful and really added to our relaxing stay! They are very well maintained and it was a pleasure to sit in the sun and swim in the heated pool even when it was 60 degrees! The location is great with an easy walk to Windnsea Beach and the house was clean and beds were very comfortable. Kimberley is an exceptional and very responsive host! When we reported that the BBQ grill was not working properly, a brand new one was delivered that day.

We had such a wonderful time in this home! It was very clean and the beds are super comfortable. We walked to Busy Bee Bagels every morning for coffee and breakfast sandwiches, grabbed takeout from Rigoberto’s, and enjoyed Wine Wednesday at The Shack — all within two blocks! The pool, hot tub, and outdoor areas were a great addition and the heated pool option allowed us to enjoy the pool even on the 60 degree days. We hope to return to this perfect spot.

Requested a last minute early check in and was quickly accommodated! Place was super cute and very clean. Great area, as is all of La Jolla. Easy walk to the water. Hot tub was a nice extra. Great restaurants nearby, we didn't have enough meals to get to all of them. Bamboo hideaway provides welcome privacy where neighbors can sometimes be on top of each other.

We were 3 adult couples plus a very active Lab. The place worked very well for us with a fenced yard, pool and hot tub. The couch was big enough for all to sit together. The house was walking distance from coffee shops, restaurants and bars.

We had an amazing stay at this lovely home. Everything was spotless and the privacy was great. The beds were super comfortable and we appreciated that the amenities included your shampoo, fresh unopened toothpaste, laundry detergent etc. those items you end up buying and never bring home and get wasted. The pool and hot tub were clean and the pool people came twice to keep it tidy and ready to be used. Check in and out were easy and done seamlessly. Location was outstanding. It’s a quit street, never heard the neighbors. Everything you need is walkable and the beach is so close!! Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a safe, clean, private oasis!

We loved this little bungalow in La Jolla. The backyard is private with a great pool and hot tub. The inside is well laid out. As mentioned in other reviews, the furniture is worn but it makes it all the more family friendly. The beds are very comfortable and the home is spotless clean. The neighborhood is fantastic! We were in walking distance to restaurants and shops. We felt very safe here and really enjoyed our stay. Kimberley is a great host! We plan to return when we visit San Diego again.

We've just had a fab 2 weeks at the Bamboo Hideaway with our boys from the UK. The boys loved the pool and they went in most days before or after sight seeing and we enjoyed the hot tub! The back garden is a real suntrap in the mornings (shaded in the afternoons) and the fire pit is a great feature in the cooler evenings. The location is very handy - walkable to some shops and restaurants, and a good local base for attractions such as Seaworld and La Jolla Shores where the boys had surf lessons and visited the Scripps aquarium. If you're looking to sightsee do some prior research as the welcome folder could be more informative and doesn't have much on local attractions and places to see / things to do...and there is a lot that you can go and explore! Overall a really great place to stay and we would definitely stay again! Thank you :-)

Wonderful home in a wonderful area of La Jolla! The house was spacious and had all the amenities needed to have a great & comfortable vacation, just as advertised! The pool & spa were great additions, esp for the kiddos. Fantastic location as it's just a short walk to the beach as well as restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc yet still very private. And Kim was an awesome host who was extremely accommodating & responsive to all our needs! We definitely plan to stay here again, and I strongly recommend staying at Kim's house if you're in the San Diego / La Jolla area!
