Fun Things to do in San Diego
Mission Beach / Pacific Beach:
Pacific Beach begins at Pacific Beach Drive at the south end and continues north to Tourmaline Park. Mission Beach begins at Pacific Beach Drive at the north end and extends down to the jetty at the south end of Mission Blvd. The Pacific Beach community offers more shopping and restaurants than Mission Beach and one of San Diego’s major nightlife scenes can be found along Garnet Avenue and Mission Blvd. If you’re looking to hit the town for a night out, pbalehouse.com/, elprezpb.com/ and maverickssd.com/ are all great options that feature drink specials and live DJs during certain nights of the week. The Pacific Beach Farmer’s Market takes place every Tuesday along Bayard and Garnet Avenues from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Ocean Beach:
Ocean Beach is the laid-back beach town on the south side of the jetty, across from south Mission Beach. Ocean Beach, like Mission Beach, offers its visitors an abundance of stores, restaurants and nightlife without having to leave the neighborhood. Popular hotspots include the obnoodlehouse.com/, thejointob.com/ and winstonsob.com/, a live music venue that features bands ranging from funk to reggae to hip hop. The Ocean Beach Farmer’s Market takes place
every Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and is filled with fun activities for the whole family.
