Mission Bay Park is the largest man-made aquatic park in the country, with over 5,000 acres of water and 27 miles of gorgeous shoreline. From your vacation rental, you can easily arrange for the rental of kayaks, speed boats, stand-up paddle boards, surfboards, bicycles, scooters and more! Mission Beach offers surfing year-round with larger waves in the winter and smaller waves with warmer water in the summer.

Our vacation rentals also offer convenient access to the world-famous reef breaks of La Jolla and Sunset Cliffs as well as well-known surfing breaks as Windansea, Tourmaline Surf Park, Black’s Beach and Lower Trestles to name a few. Nearby shopping includes belmontpark.com with the world-famous Giant Dipper Roller Coaster built in 1925, seaportvillage.com, westfield.com/utc and numerous boutiques along Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach. Nearby hiking trails can be found at Cowles Mountain, Cabrillo National Monument and Torrey Pines State Park. La Jolla hosts

Fun Things to do in San Diego

Mission Beach / Pacific Beach:

Pacific Beach begins at Pacific Beach Drive at the south end and continues north to Tourmaline Park. Mission Beach begins at Pacific Beach Drive at the north end and extends down to the jetty at the south end of Mission Blvd. The Pacific Beach community offers more shopping and restaurants than Mission Beach and one of San Diego’s major nightlife scenes can be found along Garnet Avenue and Mission Blvd. If you’re looking to hit the town for a night out, pbalehouse.com/, elprezpb.com/ and maverickssd.com/ are all great options that feature drink specials and live DJs during certain nights of the week. The Pacific Beach Farmer’s Market takes place every Tuesday along Bayard and Garnet Avenues from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Ocean Beach:

Ocean Beach is the laid-back beach town on the south side of the jetty, across from south Mission Beach. Ocean Beach, like Mission Beach, offers its visitors an abundance of stores, restaurants and nightlife without having to leave the neighborhood. Popular hotspots include the obnoodlehouse.com/, thejointob.com/ and winstonsob.com/, a live music venue that features bands ranging from funk to reggae to hip hop. The Ocean Beach Farmer’s Market takes place
every Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and is filled with fun activities for the whole family.

In addition to our local beach neighborhoods of Mission Beach, Mission Bay, Pacific Beach and Ocean Beach, San Diego boasts some great neighborhoods to live and play.
