Beautifully maintained and clean property. Beds were comfortable. Fans provided for warmer days. Patio was everything! We enjoyed our days/evenings on that peaceful, yet entertaining patio. Walkable to restaurants, businesses, beach. Beach items provided so that was convenient. Seamless check in/check-out. Definitely would return.

I’ve stayed in several OB vacation rentals and this was far and away the best. The unit is pretty secluded, and very quiet. The way it was situated and on the second floor, made me feel safe enough to leave all beach facing doors and windows open all night so I could hear the waves. This unit was very clean including the cleanest windows in the west. They thought of every detail to make your stay easy and comfortable and my one and only interaction with the host was very quick with great customer service. I will be back.

Easy to interact with the management company, very clean, kitchen well stocked, lots of ceiling fans and good window screens, bed comfortable. The unit was beautiful, spacious, and fully equipped for us to enjoy our week. The views are spectacular and the only noise you hear is that of the ocean. The kitchen was fully stocked to cook all meals and the espresso machine was a nice touch. The location was perfect. We walked to the main streets and beach in less than 10 minutes. The beds and couches are comfortable and the water pressure for the showers were great. We will definitely stay here again!

You can’t beat the sight and sound of crashing waves from the cliffside perch. I sat on the deck for hours nesting behind the glass railing reading. You can hear the waves from every room. The kitchen is small but mighty. The living room sectional is heavy duty and comfortable for easy napping. I enjoyed the B&W historical beach photo collection throughout the condo. Beautiful flooring. First bedroom is small but the bed is very comfortable. The main bath is updated and tiled. Mater suite was large with wonderful bed. Work space was useful. Master bath is small but has a beautiful shower. The Ocean Beach community surrounding the unit is very walkable and lively at dinner. Everyone is out and walks. Wednesday night farmers market was fun! Parking for the unit was across the street in an empty lot. Only downside was the proximity to a tiny city park where people walk their dogs. And the neighborhood speed limit is 25 because the roads are tight. Respect this or walk.

Very clean cute condo that overlooks the ocean. We were VERY happy to find out from a local neighbor about the private beach just around the block. My kids enjoyed the ocean and everyone was so nice! Great place for a small group with everything you need, from kitchenware to beach supplies to books and games . Beautiful view of the ocean, although Sea World fireworks were not visible, it’s close enough to the park that they could be seen with a short walk or drive. Great, quiet little neighborhood, we got to really enjoy the sound of the waves. We’d stay here again for our next SD visit.

Had a conference in San Diego and had the opportunity to go out early and stay at this property in Ocean Beach and it was absolutely perfect. My friend from Denver met me out there and it was a perfect location, an amazing view, and I slept wonderfully every night. Our stay at this Ocean Beach condo was great. The condo's location is ideal. The property sits right over the ocean with awesome views of ocean, surfers, sunsets and blue sky. It is conveniently located within walking distant of great restaurants, shops and stores. The condo itself has a very comfortable, beachy vibe. Comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen for cooking meals. My only suggestion would be to make more clear the garage situation. Unless you have a very small vehicle it would be difficult to park in the garage. We had no problem parking across the street but the driveway into the lot could also be challenging for some cars.

The ocean view is impeccably beautiful. Having meals or cocktail or afternoon tea with sound of waves & sunset right in front of your sight, we enjoy everyday spent in this apt. The apt is nicely decorated and equipped with everything you need, even a nice sized desk for you to work at home. Garage is too small for parking but the outdoor parking spot helps. Wednesday’s farmer market is within walking distance, it is worth to go! We would like to come back next time!

Throughly enjoyed the condo. Have stayed in this building twice. The inside was nice and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. It took my husband to figure out the key box. The cable box was broken in the spare bedroom, so no TV in there. I am sure the cable company is at fault for that. The garage has a BBQ in the way .If you have a smart car or motorcycle, you could fit that in. Over all we will return to this condo.

This was the second to last stop on a 2 week road trip and we could not have been happier with the property, it felt like home. It was clean, everything was easy to find in the unit with easy walking to restaurants, shops, etc. The views, crashing waves & sunsets are A+++!! Also high marks for the owners, we had an issue with the refrigerator not working and they handled it immediately without inconveniencing us. The only downside (which isn't really a big deal) is the garage is very small, but not a problem as there is a designated outdoor parking spot right across the street. I highly recommend this place, it's magical.

The Condo in OB was an absolute delight! It had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The delis and local restaurants are in walking distance, but even if you wanted to stay in everything you needed was available. We just spent a few wonderful days here and it exceeded our expectations! The place is well-kept, clean and very comfortable and has every amenity you could ever want! My husband loves to cook and was impressed by all the kitchen offerings, as was my father who is an architect. Then there’s the view. You can’t get much closer to the crashing waves and gorgeous sunsets than from your private balcony! The location is great too, as you can easily walk to the pier and the Ocean Beach shops and restaurants. Sharon communicated with us and was responsive to any questions we had. My husband and I rented this lovely condo from Oct 1-Nov 1 2019. When we first opened the door and saw the view out the sliding glass doors and kitchen windows, it almost took my breath away. It is absolutely magnificent. Walking out onto the patio and feeling the cool ocean breeze and seeing the waves crashing into the cliffs is a sight for sore eyes. You can hear the ocean waves in the condo at night with the window open in the master bedroom. You can also hear it in the kitchen and living area. The owners have thought of everything as far as amenities go. Everything is high quality. There is even a fan in the master bathroom which I really enjoyed. The patio furniture is really nice. We spent a lot of time out there just taking in the wonders of the ocean. If you have time, the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla is worth visiting. Some of the places we enjoyed eating at in OB are HODAD’S, and PHO OB Noodles. There are many, but these 2 were our favorites. Every Wednesday night there is a street fair with many different cuisines to choose from. You will find many things enjoy in OB. Most of all you will definitely enjoy this condo. You can’t beat the fantastic view of the ocean. You can see the Ocean Beach Pier and watch many different boats all day long. The beach and restaurants are all within walking distance. The pier is also within walking distance. The owners are very responsive to any of your needs also. We love it so much we have already booked another month next year. We loved our week at Sunsets and Seascapes! Sunset views from the lanai were lovely and the condo had all the comforts of home. The beach decor was pretty and the kitchen was well-stocked. The surrounding community of Ocean Beach has a laid-back vibe - we loved the mixture of people around town and enjoyed the local restaurants and bars; Breakfast Republic and the Belching Beaver Tap Room were our favorites. We appreciated having the beach chairs, umbrella, and beach towels available for our use. We had an issue with another vehicle parking in the spot designated for the unit (the garage was a tight fit) in the parking lot behind the building but we managed. We highly recommend this rental!

Truly an oceanfront paradise! This home was so nicely decorated and had everything we needed. We have stayed in many VRBO homes and I have to say this one was the best stocked place ever. Along with the standard hairdryer they had a curling iron and a flat iron as well! The kitchen was also very well stocked so if you want to cook they have everything! We enjoyed watching the sunset off of the deck and exploring Ocean Beach. If you are there on a Wednesday evening make sure to check out the Farmers Market. We enjoyed trying out all the different ethnic foods. Would love to come back one day!

Wonderful property! Nice touch with the coastal decor and handy dandy, very informative reference notebooks. Very comfortable for my family of four. Walked to Hodad’s and Olivo restaurants and pier. This is the best property we have ever rented on the west coast. The view is every bit as good as the picture shows. The property is maybe 100 feet away from the ocean waves crashing on the rocks. And you can even climb (easy) down to the rocks and walk for a long way looking at the tide pools. Everything we needed was available and there is even reserved parking (amazing for rentals this close to the ocean in our experience). The main street in Ocean Beach is a few blocks away so there is a lot to walk around and do. The picture from the balcony faces the direction of the sunset which was beautiful every day.

A very well equipped and comfortable place to stay! The unit is very clean and well appointed. Love the espresso machine. A beautiful balcony with comfortable lounge chairs to just watch the world go by! Convenient location to the beach and shops! Other reviewers have commented on the noise of the planes but you get used to it and the location and quality of the unit make it well worth while!!! Upon arriving we were actually greeted by a neighbor. She told us exactly where to park and was so friendly. We entered our condo with no problems!! We immediately found the balcony to be the spot where we wanted to be. Amazing view of the ocean. The best part was the condo was located at the end of a walkway so we didn't have to worry about people walking by often. The amenities were amazing. We had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the view of the ocean. We had visitors every weekend getting away from the frozen mid west and they were so impressed. The condo is cozy, the layout perfect, and the beds comfy. The waves would lull us to sleep nightly. We did not have a car for our month stay but Uber was available with a 5 minute wait time. The condo is close to attractions and great restaurants as well. The neighborhood is very quiet and its just a short walk to the Ocean Beach Pier and it's cute Cafe. We loved our stay.

Rang in the New Year of 2018 at one of the most gorgeous condos we've been to yet! We arrived and everything (and I do mean everything) was in order. The condo smelled fresh (like an ocean breeze) and the windows presented the open sea to our liking! We hiked, walked around the town, visited the tide pools, ate, drank, ate some more and opened some very special vino we had been saving for the New Year. The kitchen had all the amenities of home, the beds were extremely comfortable and the condo was very quiet (we never heard our neighbors). We rang in the New Year in style with our friends (and then promptly went to bed)! If you're looking for a nice, relaxing place to be...this is IT!

Once again, the condo was great. Clean, well stocked, and every thing was as promised. The only downside this year was not the condo, but the environment. The place next door is no longer under construction, and the current occupants have some very noisy dogs that barked at us any/every time we went outside. Fortunately, the dogs were usually inside during the early day, but it did make evenings less pleasant. Also, due to the increased public use of marajuana (sp?) we were always treated to the odor when people were under the bank edge on the rocks below the balcony. They would start as early as 5 a.m. and go well into the night. This was a general trend in OB we noted this year. It did detract from our enjoyment of our trip. We really liked this place, but not enjoying OB as much as we have in prior years.

I’m pleased this renter enjoyed the condo again and titled their review, “Another Great Year. “ I’m concerned about the barking dogs and only wish we’d been contacted to intercede with these really nice neighbors. Marijuana odors do drift throughout the beach communities on and off: it’s Southern California and it’s legal. We can’t change it, so we chose to tune it out. Honestly, it’s rarely even noteworthy to us. We’ll be certain to contact these guests personally. Sharon

Right on the water as advertised. Most fully stocked kitchen I have encountered on vrbo - spices and staples in the pantry. Beds are comfortable and baths are updated nicely. Kitchen and living room furniture have been updated since photos. VERY quality furnishings. Only downside - brought our smallest car and it was so tight in the garage, we just used the place in the lot across the street. That was more convenient anyway. Loved this rental!

Wow! While firmly planted in OB, this property has upscale elements that belie its pocket friendly rate and perfect location. The owner has done a wonderful job in providing first rate amenities such as great cutlery, stocked kitchen, comfy bed and plenty of everything! Great to work with as well....I'll be back...I hope!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ocean a beach in this property. It's within walking distance to the beach and many shops, restaurants and the food market, but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The view is awesome! The rental was well-stocked with everything you would need to enjoy your vacation. I would stay here again!

The condo is exactly as advertised, very nicely appointed with every possible amenity we could possibly need. The owners we’re very easy to work with and the entire visit went off without a hitch. There is a substantial amount of visitor information provided to help those unfamiliar with San Diego and So. Cal. In general find their way and things to do. Local restaurants are fantastic and everything you need is within walking distance. Parking in the garage is a very tight fit, particularly if somebody has parked in the spot across the “street”. That said, the parking space provided across the street is great and that’s all we used. Something to be aware of in Ocean Beach in general is the airport flight path is directly overhead and you will hear passing jets on their way out over the Pacific. They already at cloud height by the time they reach the coast but you will still hear them. I did not find this an issue but if you want absolute quiet, OB is not the place for you. If you plan to stay in OB I would highly recommend this location.

We were impressed with the Ocean Front Condo. It lived up to the description! Had a bit of a glitch with the cleaning when we first arrived, but it was remedied very quickly. The place was very well stocked with dishes, glasses, and all the gadgets we could need (even better than my home in some respects). The rooms and place were very comfortable for all 4 of us to be able to spread out. Couldn't beat the view. We watched the air craft carrier do some manuvers off shore, some dolphins fishing, seals playing and pelicans flying around right from the balcony. It was quiet except for the morning airplanes taking off from the airport, and very conviently located to walking downtown and enjoying the shopping, breweries and all the resturants. We would definately stay again!

This oceanfront, cliff dwelling, right on ocean condo is gorgeous - beautifully decorated. Ocean motif from dishes with seashell decorations to pictures on the walls. Lots of attention to detail. Well stocked kitchen. Washer/dryer. Master Bedroom felt "South Pacific", even the ceiling fan and end tables and lamps were "South Pacific". Large closet. Lovely room. Owners have thought of everything...from extra paper products to staples in pantry and frig to very comfortable furniture on the deck. Ceiling fans in living room and both bedrooms. The two bathrooms are roomy and appear new. Window in MB that provides view of ocean. Large window above kitchen sink with ocean view makes it fun to rinse dishes. Dining area and living area have advantage of floor to ceiling glass for the view. Owners have added a large computer station in living room, providing anything you may need from a printer, paper, bowl of paper clips, lots of pencils, etc. We had a problem getting to the internet. Called owner. The next morning a computer technician arrived (after calling that he would be 10 minutes late for his appointment. I do not know about your experience, but where I am from service folks can arrive 2 hours late and never inform you!). Problem was quickly addressed - Windows 10 does not allow for a guest account so a different type of account was set-up. For our stay, a newspaper was delivered early every morning. Parking is convenient. Town of Ocean Beach is a short walk away. We found OB to be delightful. We walked the Ocean Beach pier several times. Everyone, from other renters to clerks to wait staff, are very friendly. Owner recommendations for restaurants, wine, and groceries are right on. Owners provide a large notebook with menus of local eateries. We ate at 3rd Corner three times. Great place with tables placed amongst large collection of wine for purchase. Try their scallops! Olive Tree was a regular stop for English Muffins and breakfast sausage. Try their deli sandwiches - HUGE. A new home is under construction to the south. We heard nothing due to ocean waves. Home is close to completion and will be fabulous. We talked to some of the workers. This is an incredible condo with a view to match. Peaceful. We spent lots of time on the deck. The owners have put lots of care into the condo and into making guests comfortable. Five star owners and condo. Thanks so much for the memories.

If you are staying in Ocean Beach, I cannot fathom a better location than Sunsets and Seascapes. This is our second visit, and we are already deeming it our "home away from home". Our stay at Sunset Cliffs was wonderful!! Everything was exactly as the owner said it would be. It was perfect for two couples. The only negative was the beach atmosphere on ocean beach. It wasn't a beach I'd take my kids to and the rough crowd that hangs out there made us a little uncomfortable. But, we didn't intend to spend much time on the beach anyways and its a few blocks from the condo. Overall it was great! We would definitely recommend it!

I'm so sorry these guests were uncomfortable at the beach. In 10 years I've never received this comment. I admit there's an element of homelessness up and down the coast, as in any city. Beach communities are popular with everyone. it is easy enough to avoid a group of unfavorables by walking elsewhere on the beach. I've never had trouble finding a good spot on the sand near families for my kids in the summer, either. I'm grateful the guests' beach experience didn't mar their overall appraisal of 5 STARS and "EXCELLENT STAY!

We loved staying at this fantastic place right by the ocean. It's just the right size for two couples. The property was conveniently located to everything we needed. I don't even want to write a review, for fear the secret will be out. We watched the migrating whale tails against the sunset every night. We had coffee at the pier. This property was the perfect "home base" for us to enjoy San Diego. We have been to OB a few times to visit our daughter, but this was our first home vacation rental, and I am afraid the standard is set high now for all future vacation rentals. Has all the amenities of home. Sharon and John thought of everything. It would be exactly as we would set up our own vacation home. Maps, guides, coupons, bikes, blender, even a reverse osmosis drinking tap to treat the (not so lovely) city water. Already booked next year. Thanks so much for opening this gem to others to enjoy.

This was our third stay in OB and our first with Sharon. It is a lovely property and better supplied with basics such as paper products, cleaning supplies and kitchen utensils than any other VRBO property we have stayed in. It overlooks the Pacific while being only three blocks from Newport Avenue, the main drag in OB. There are plenty of maps and brochures that are very well marked and organized. It is obvious that Sharon devotes a lot of attention to maintaining the unit. We look forward to returning.

This condo really is an ocean front paradise. We stayed here for two weeks in January and were extremely satisfied with the property. The condo itself is beautifully decorated and comfortable; it felt like "home" every time we returned from an outing. The kitchen is well appointed with everything we needed to prepare and enjoy our meals. Even the dishes and silverware were lovely! The views from inside and outside were spectacular, because the condo is right on the oceanside...It was so relaxing to sit on the deck, enjoy the sounds of the Pacific, and watch the surfers near the Ocean Beach pier. Because of Ocean Beach's location, we were just minutes away from attractions in San Diego south and LaJolla north. The community of Ocean Beach is very "laid back" and we enjoyed walking to the main street and having a bite to eat or do some shopping. Thank you, John and Sharon for sharing your beautiful condo.

This is a gorgeous and spacious 2 bedroom condo on the cliffs on the ocean. The cliff is only twenty feet high and there is easy access to the beach, there is a sandy beach a quarter mile from the condo that you can easily walk. The condo is "full service", there was everything that you could think of available: extra towels, extra linens, scads of cooking utensils, pots, pans, just everything. Very Clean! Plenty of hot water! The owner left us detailed maps and directions to local restaurants (Niki's was great) stores and sites. We left on a Sunday; I spent Monday and Tuesday telling my friends, co-workers and business associates of the fantastic comfort, security and value of this property. My wife and I were still talking about our mini-vacation Tuesday night and we are now planning our next get-away to this property.

I 'm from Indiana, I met my best friend who lives in Oregon in San Diego. We loved the condo. It was very clean. The location is great. John and Sharon have thought of everything. There was nothing that we needed. There was blow dryers and curling irons in the bathrooms and a fully, and I mean fully stocked kitchen. The patio is awesome for cocktails while listening to the waves crash and watching the birds dive into the ocean. If I visit San Diego again, I would stay here, there is nothing negative to say.

Thank you John and Sharon for a wonderful, perfect week at the ocean! My sisters and I arrived to find the condo EXACTLY as pictured. The view was absolutely stunning and the condo felt just like home! It had everything we could possibly need. We loved Ocean Beach and found the location of the condo to be quiet, relaxing and peaceful, yet convenient and within walking distant to so many wonderful shops, restaurants, and local pubs. We enjoyed the atmosphere in Ocean Beach and thought it was fun and laid-back. It almost felt like time was frozen back in the 60's! The Farmer's Market was awesome! We bought homemade tamales there and took them back to the condo for a delicious Mexican dinner. Point Loma/Sunset Cliffs was such beautiful area and we liked that the condo was also very close to Sea World and Old Town. We looked for a Green Flash every night at sunset, but didn't see one. Maybe next time...we will definitely be back!

Each year I have several groups of sisters, cousins, or girlfriends that are spread out across the country. Their excitment about their reunions is contagious! Three women who went to high school here have returned twice to reunite. It's as much fun as the husband from Michigan who planned a surprise birthday vacation for his wife, or the groom who planned his honeymoon for a year with me, and they were married on the beach!

I don't have much time to embellish in this review other than to say everything was perfect. The accommodations were absolutely fine. Everything we needed. And we really enjoyed the binoculars in the cabinet for watching seabirds, finshing boats, and surfers. And the kitchen set up was great. We stayed for one week and cooked about half of the time. A great dining area looking out over the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The location was perfect. Right on the coast, tidepools right below the porch, and off to the right just a little was Ocean Beach pier and a huge beach for strolling and walking in the sand. The area was quiet, but just two block away was the main street for Ocean Beach. Small town and a little eclectic, but right next door to the main attractions of San Diego. A 10-15 min drive to whatever you wanted to see. My family will return each year now that we found a great spot to stay.

If you are scouring websites for that perfect place to relax, get away from it all, or just to have fun in the San Diego area, you need not look further. You have found it. We feel very fortunate to have discovered this amazing condo. It is not only everything that is shown on the website, but much more. You really have to be there to fully appreciate the ambiance of it all. The view is tremendous; not only the balcony and deck, but from inside the condo as well. It didn’t matter if it was cloudy-foggy or sunny, we thoroughly enjoyed every moment above the cliffs. The sound of the waves on the rocks at night was heavenly. How cool is it to wake up in the morning with a view of the Pacific, OB pier, pelicans diving for their breakfast and the sound of the waves you heard the night before. Sharon and John have prepared a wonderfully maintained, clean and exciting home to share with their guests. The condo is very comfortable with very cozy beds and furniture and new, high quality appliances and utensils. What a wonderful kitchen including a most tranquil view from its window. Ocean Beach itself is a throwback to the 60-70 surf era. Lots of nooks and cranny bars and restaurants to explore, as well as surf shops and several beachwear stores to spend your hard earned dollars in. One of my favorite eating spots is “Hodads”; it is not your typical burger joint. I’ll not write about it but will let you discover it on your visit. Another highlight of OB is the Wednesday afternoon / evening farmers market. It is truly awesome. There is live music, a great array of local fruits and vegetables, plus a whole lot of other non-food goodies. Two of us (one from Florida, one from Washington State) had a wonderful time in Ocean Beach. Also we want to thank Sharon for her extra consideration in accommodating special cleaning needs for one of us with chemical sensitivities. It is so refreshing to have an owner willing to go that extra mile to help create a truly memorable experience. Thank you, thank you. We truly enjoyed Sunsets and Seascapes and look forward to staying there once more on a return trip to San Diego. Ed was a very gracious guest. His daughter was getting married in San Diego and he wanted his friend to enjoy it with him. Her allergies required specific solutions be used for laundry and cleaning. We stayed in early September for one week and loved every minute of it. We loved the neighborhood of Ocean Beach- it has so much character. We went to Jungle Java almost every day for my iced mocha, and even had a quick lunch there (their acai bowls and parfaits are delicious!). We were floored by the views in the condo, and it was as well stocked as promised. The location is great- we saw a lot of San Diego and everything we drove to was only 15 to 20 minutes away in every direction (i.e. the Gaslamp District, Coronado, La Jolla, etc)- very convenient. It was nice being able to walk down to Newport Avenue for ice cream (try the waffle ice cream sandwich at Lighthouse Ice Cream!) and just keep walking on down to Dog Beach and then back. The weather was gorgeous during our stay and we are definitely going to return. This rental just "sealed the deal" for us in terms of our plans to retire in S. California in 20 years! We loved eating at Rancho's - ate there twice during our stay. The beach gear (beach chairs, toys, etc) came in really handy- we packed them in the car and went down to Coronado for a day at the beach- it helped knowing I didn't have to pack all of these things for our stay. It was so nice having the beautiful deck out back- we read our books while our son took his afternoon nap. I can't rave enough, we loved every minute of it! All I can say is that this property was simply wonderful! There was not one thing that our family felt in need of while staying at Sunset Cliffs. From the beatufil balcony view to the well stocked kitchen and the comfortable living area we all felt very at home here. It was also a great location with a very short walk to the beach along with plenty of shops and restaurants ito choose from in nearby Ocean Beach. I highly recommend a stay at Sunset Cliffs.

Sharon, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your lovely home away from home with us. My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in San Diego in May 2011, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. This was a surprise vacation for my wife and she was pleasantly surprised indeed. Sitting on the balcony, we watched the sail boats and pelicans as well as witnessing the waves come in and crash which made for an enjoyable start to our day. We ended each day in the same fashion. The calming effect was impressive. We own a vacation home on the water and while the calming effects of sitting and relaxing at the water’s edge is unexplainable, listening to the water crash on the shore was beyond words. It was something one must experience. Your condominium was well stocked with all of the comforts of home. From the moment we walked through the front door, we felt very comfortable. From the furnishings to the flatware and everything in between, we could not have asked for a better experience. It truly had all of the comforts of home. Your recommendation for places to dine, shop, site see or just walk around to take in the San Diego experience was wonderful. We ended up purchasing groceries as well as fresh fruits & vegetables from several locations and our favorite meat market was (Siesel’s). We decided to dine “at home” most evenings, making for some very romantic nights. A home cooked dinner and then a glass of wine (or two) while watching the sunset in the very comfortable patio furniture was a memory we will savor for many years to come. The privacy was well received and very much appreciated. We plan to make your home away from home our home away from home again in the near future and hopefully for many years to come. This had to be one of the most relaxing, enjoyable vacations we have had in many years. We anxiously wait for our return visit. S.D. & Zia's Bistro on India St., S.D. Our vacation last week was all that we hoped for and I just can't say enough about how incredible the ocean views are from your beautiful condo. Even though the pictures capture the views, you'll open the door and still say "wow"! The pictures offered do not show the upgraded bedroom decor, but everything else is accurate. What you won't know until you stay there are things that become important if you've experienced a less-than-expected rental. First, owner has a housekeeper that keeps this home very clean and inviting. The owner is extremely thoughtful and generous with amenities: a pantry and refer stocked with basics (including coffee and tea) so you do not have to shop as though you are stocking a new home for just a weeks' stay. Very much appreciated. Lastly, Sharon was very generous with information exhange and answered all my inquiries promptly. You will need a car if you want to visit Old Town, the zoo, etc. but check out Old Town Trolley...get's you to the main attractions in the area and park for free in Old Town. But if you do not want to go, go go, the balcony is perfect just to relax and Ocean Beach is a short walk and full of character.

Nancy wanted to treat a girlfriend who had some health issues, so we were in contact several times to make sure she could meet all her friend's needs. I'm delighted she took advantage of the well stocked pantry. It was such a pleasure to stay at this seaside condo. We immediately felt right at home; it was clean, comfortable and well appointed with quality appliances, comfy beds and furniture. Imagine waking to the sound of the ocean and soft breezes wafting through your bedroom. You rise and walk down the short hall to find a glass wall looking out at waters that continue all the way to Asia. Take you coffee out onto the balcony and watch cormorants dive for their breakfasts. This place is perched 75 feet above the breakers and I can't think of a more romantic place for my new wife and I to enjoy our first week as a married couple. My husband and I stayed here at the beginning of October and it was just as wonderful as it was advertised to be. It had incredible views, delightful decorating, and was sparkling clean. You are a short distance away from the sandy beach and I especially enjoyed watching people fish off the pier and looking for wildlife. I have never been an envious person..but after spending a week at this special condo I found myself very envious of Sharon and John..that they are so furtunate to own this exquisite piece of paradise! The condo is sheer perfection ...offering a balcony with unmatched beautiful views, amazing sunsets, seagulls flying overhead, the sound and smell of the ocean, and just the most relaxing enjoyable place anyone could ever want ..day and night. A part of my heart will always be in O.B., and will be in yours too after a visit here. From the condo you can walk to Newport Ave's many family owned restaurants featuring food of every kind. There are many delightful little shops and antique stores to explore too. Although San Diego has many places and things to see...you don't really need to leave O.B.. There is enough here to please everyone. By the way, checking out the tide pools, the beach, and a walk on the O.B. Pier (the longest on the west coast) is a must! I can honestly say this condo and O.B. are absolute perfection- and if I ever win the lottery I will definitely make John And Sharon an "offer they can't refuse" for their lovely home! My family spent our extended Christmas vacation at this condo in December of 2009. I must emphasize that from my first inquiry about the property to the very end—leaving the keys in the key lock—it was the most positive and enjoyable experience. The owners deliver everything they advertise. I think that they deliver even more! For seven days we felt that we were not the vacation renters but the home quests. Almost the entire content of the unit is at guests’ disposal: spices, paper goods, candles, soaps, detergents, etc.; good selection of books for readers and good selection of cable channels for TV watchers; enough pots and pans for cooks. All photographs posted on the website correlate with reality precisely; the bedrooms, bathrooms, the kitchen look exactly the same as on photos. I think that from the photograph of the building (HomeAway, Cyberrentals) you can deduce that the unit (one of the four) is the best in the building; the most private and with the “sunset exposure”. I can confirm that this is the case. As advertised, the location in Ocean Beach and in San Diego area is superb. Only five miles to the airport and minutes to major attractions: Point Loma, San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, La Jolla etc. If you plan to see a sunset at the Sunset Cliffs Park, do not bother! You will experience a better sunset at the unit’s balcony. We expected great views from the direct Pacific front unit but the views and sunsets exceeded our expectations; at night, you have spectacular views, too! The sound of crashing waves is also phenomenal. On a personal note, before we decided to rents this property, I flooded Sharon with questions. She replied promptly and very thoroughly. From my e-mail and phone exchanges, I was reassured that I was dealing with a person of great integrity and honesty and that was the additional important factor that prompted us to rent this very cozy, comfortable and fantastically located property.

Thank you Sharon & John for sharing your condo. It is just as beautiful and comfortable as your descriptions & pictures show. Everything about the condo is wonderful. My husband & I spent 1 week in Oct. at the condo & loved every minute. We loved it so much we just got home from another week there. In Oct. we walked everywhere, ate at the Blue Parrot twice, the Puerto Nuevo Shrimp is unbelievable good. We shopped at the Farmers Market and strolled through all the local shops. We used our rental car 3 times in a week. To get to the condo from the airport, to go to the grocery store and then back to the airport. We were always back on the deck for the sunsets and then I would cook dinner in the fully equipped and well laid out kitchen. In Dec. the storms were awesome. We watched the waves hitting the pier & the rain from inside the condo. We walked alot, when the weather permitted. We ate out only once, at The Blue Parrot and ate the same shrimp again. I love to cook and their kitchen is a pleasure to cook in. My husband and I enjoyed the big TV with the DVR. We could zip through commercials or record shows for later. At bedtime the big down comforters on the beds are so warm and snugly it was hard to get up in the morning. When we came home in Oct. we got rid of our coffee maker because we liked theirs so much better , we had to get one just like theirs. Today I went and got a new hairdryer because the one they provide for guests is so much nicer than what I own. There is only one reason I didn't want to write this review... What a wonderful week in your beautiful condo! All the amenities were exactly as elegant and comfortable as described. It really was like staying in someone's home. We had a wonderful stay with our son, daughter in law and grandson. There was plenty of room for everyone and we were able to entertain some friends that live in San Diego. How incredible to sit on the front deck, watch the sunset and hear the waves. Truly a beautiful setting. The condominium was well decorated, well stocked and offered everything we wanted. We stayed in this condo for a week in June and it was fabulous, the views of the Pacific and the sunset were breathtaking. It was lovely to go to sleep to and wake up to the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks. Condo is really nicely furnished, very comfortable, a home from home. We found the condo to be well maintained, nicely furnished, and well stocked, and the flowers, wine, restaurant reviews/menus, and coffee in the refrigerator were extra special touches we really appreciated. The flowers were beautiful up until the day we had to leave and they smelled great! It was also very helpful to have use of a computer to check in for flights and get boarding passes issued for our return trip. We did our best to cram lots of area sights into our week and were surprised at the diversity of landscapes within such a short distance. The condo was the perfect place to stay while visiting San Diego. Our stay there was the highlight of our trip to California. The convenient location allowed us easy access to the local sights, giving us more time to spend on the deck enjoying the view. In fact, most evening meals were take-out from nearby restaurants so we could enjoy them on the deck as the sun set. The accomodations were comfortable, spacious, of high quality and the view from the deck was spectacular. we couldn't ask for anything more. We will certainly be back on our next trip to San Diego.

We took care of your home as if it were our own and I hope all those who rent from you do the same because it felt like home and not just a vacation rental. We really appreciated the ipod player so we could listen to our i pods and the binoculars were fun to use. I can't think of anything you should do differently for your future guests. Again thank your for a memorable stay and if you are ever in Houston please look us up. Next time we go to San Diego, we hope to stay at your home again and instead of running to all the attractions with the kids, we would just like to hang out on your deck and really enjoy the view. There really is no reason to ever leave the deck!!...but if you must, it is just a short walk to the beach and the shops/restaurants in O.B......after 1 sunset, you will be scheduling your next visit.......we did!

It is a beautiful home with luxurious accomodations .The sunsets are amazing and the beach is great.The location is perfect to walk everywhere. We will definitely make this an annual outing for our family.

I never imagined a slice of heaven like this place. As soon as we walked in, we felt like we were in paradise. I loved waking up to the sound of waves in the morning. We can't wait to come back!
