A spacious modern living room hosts ocean views, a large smart flat screen TV, and comfortable seating to soak it all in. A comfortable dining room with seating for 6 is accompanied by a modern kitchen, with large kitchen island (great for working remote or a snack bar!), includes everything you need to create meals and snacks for everyone at any time.
A primary king bedroom has a stunning ocean view, a ceiling fan to keep you comfortable, and a bath with a large walk-in shower. There is also a queen guest bedroom with a shared hallway bath. Both bedrooms have portable AC units (PARTIAL AC), easily available in the home for your use, should you desire cooler days or nights. Both mattresses in the bedrooms are soft and the sleeper sofa mattress is firm.
Additional amenities include a washer and dryer for your convenience, WIFI, and cable and a garage parking space.

There is an elevator and wheelchair access to this home?but there may be stairs to the beach, so it may not be appropriate for everyone.
This HOA community requires masks be worn at all times outside of your rental (including all common areas).
This historic building does not have central AC but portable units are available for use in the bedrooms.
This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quiet groups. Our rental agreement includes a NO tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy, and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting with us.
This home is equipped with exterior surveillance & decibel meters, as required by local city noise ordinance.
Parking notes: There is one space available within the closed garage and one space is permitted outside the individual garage door tandem. The garage is shallow (6ft height MAX, 8ft width); no lifted cars or large trucks will fit. Any height is OK outside the garage, as this is uncovered, but cannot exceed 20ft in length. Overnight street parking is also permitted.

Wow! If available, stay here! Incredible - clean, easy check in/out, great beds, great showers, great neighborhood. The view is incredible! Watched surfers and pelicans all day. Magical spot for sunsets! Highly recommend.
The property is located on the top floor of a three-story building. There are floor-to-ceiling arched windows on two sides with nothing to obstruct your view of the crashing waves. Sunsets are magnificent. Surfers are constantly carving the perfect center break at WindanSea Beach. Gulls wheel and Pelicans skim the waves in formation. Further out there are boats: fishing, cargo, military and sail. There`s a spotting scope for getting a closer look. Enjoy a parade of photo shoots on the rocks and around the surfers palm palapa. The setting is so great that the newly engaged come here to have their pictures taken as do actresses, sports teams and Quinceaneras. At low tide WindanSea, immortalized in Tom Wolfe`s short story, The Pump House Gang, is a perfect swimming beach with dozens of semi private nooks formed by the jumble of rocks. You can easily walk to a handful of good restaurants and cafes. Our favorite is the Promiscuous Fork. The La Jolla Cove is 2 miles away. A few minutes by Uber, bike or electric scooter. Parking could be a challenge in the summer, but the condo comes with two spaces (one inside the garage). The building is midcentury modern designed by Henry Hester in 1968. The original architectural drawings are on the walls of the condo. There are beach toys in an owner`s locker in the garage and a sauna for warming up after a dip in the chilly Pacific. The Condo itself is open plan and looks to have been recently renovated with new paint, en suite washer/dryer, silent dishwasher and restored and replicated mid century modern furniture. The beds are very comfortable. There are two new Samsung TV`s but really we never turned them on. We spent our time while in the condo enjoying the view. The reservation and check in process were very easy. The directions say come down Bonair from La Jolla Village Drive but you would actually do better to come down Playa del Norte. Since that is where the garage entrance is. You`ll have to park and walk around the building to enter and open the garage door but that is easier than driving your car four blocks to make a legal entrance to the garage. Your bay is the second one, under the light. But it comes back to the views... from every room!
The condo is very comfortable in a prime, ideal location. Host/owner provided all the amenities to make guests feel like they are home away from home. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
With all of the COVID restrictions and overwhelming bad news on TV and social media lately, we just wanted to get away and try to forget about all that. We live in San Diego, just a bit more inland. Although we were less than 30 minutes from home, it felt like we were a world away. The expansive 180-degree view of the ocean, the sound of the waves crashing, and the salty ocean air was just what we needed. Every morning when we woke up, we just marveled at the view and kind of had to pinch ourselves to realize we weren’t dreaming. We were a party of four: adult couple + 1 & 3 year old. The stuffed animals and sand toys were a super sweet added detail. The kitchen was well stocked. The dedicated parking was clutch. The entryway was a bit gritty/sandy, but there was a really nice cordless Dyson vacuum in the closet, so I was able to clean that up fairly easily. Anyhow, certainly nothing that would keep me from coming back. If you have young kids who are messy eaters, I recommend a Splat Mat to put under their chairs, as the dining table sits on carpet. We noticed this in the listing photos, so we planned ahead and brought one. Noteworthy features: AC units in every room. Automatic/electric light filtering shades as well as blackout shades. Dishwasher. WiFi. Garage parking spot as well as one driveway spot behind it. Window screens are metal and screwed in/secure (not your typical pop-our wire screen), which is a great safety feature I had been apprehensive about prior to arrival since I have tiny munchkins. White noise machines provided in both bedrooms (rental unit is on kind of a busy corner, so this definitely helped with keeping the littles sleeping soundly). Telescope. Sony headphones to use with TV in living room. Smart TV with access to several apps (Prime Video, Netflix, etc.). I’m sure I’m forgetting some stuff, but overall a great experience. Definitely recommend and plan to return!
Overall great location. Parking accessible very secure area. Just a great place to stay with gorgeous views from all rooms. Kitchen very well stocked. Complex and apartment very clean. Felt at home. We really enjoyed our stay.

This is the perfect beachfront property! Big glass windows made our stay so magical. It was fun watching all the surfers catch waves and seeing all the birds fly by. Being able to walk across the street to the beach was awesome and we probably spent more time there than in the property! Parking was also very convenient as the owners provide a space for you. If you have more than one vehicle, parking on the street is also a nonissue. The location is very close to downtown La Jolla, so you can do some shopping while you are in town. As for the property, it is super clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We`re already missing it and can't wait to go back!
This place has the best view from La Jolla where you can see the surf shack from the living room. It was great to just walk across the street and be able to sit under the surf shack - was great. You can also see all the surfers catching the waves. The location was really close to downtown where I was able to visit a store. Our host also prepared few stuffed animals for little kiddos to play with and to take home, if the guests want to. Very cute details throughout!
Our family had such a wonderful stay at this property. The condo is well worth the money spent because of the amazing views and great customer service. Did not. They communicated with us from reservation to check in and check out and equally important, the condo was spic and span and well equipped with all the basic things we need making our stay stress free and relaxing! I highly recommend this condo! We couldn't wait to book this property again!
My family stayed in this beautiful condo in December. The condo is clean, in a safe neighborhood and has easy access to the beach. Overall, it was a very relaxing vacation, and we will definitely come back here again!

We loved staying at the house. The sunset views are unparalleled and watching surfers all day from the house is an added bonus. The house is clean and all kitchen appliances/cutlery look fairly new. The unit is tastefully decorated and beds are comfortable. Probably one of the best rentals we have ever stayed in! Will certainly be back…
