Rooftop Paradise

Stayed for a week with 4 travelers. Very nice stay. Good location, comfortable house. The house is located on the main road and it can get noisy at times however that’s also the vibe of the neighborhood. Would stay there again. The only heads up I would give is that the single garage is very small, which is typical of this neighborhood. If you have anything over a midsize car or a small SUV, you'll have quite the time trying to angle it in, especially if the parking space across the alley is occupied by the neighbor's car. I'm a very good parallel parker and it was quite the adventure getting a Pacifica mini-van backed in (both mirrors folded in with about an inch to spare each side, no space to open the driver door once in). Street parking is extremely limited and you need to watch street sweeping times. Fortunately, the gentleman who runs the Beach Market across the street gave us an excellent tip – go 2 ½ blocks north to El Carmel Place and turn right. There is a free public parking lot about two blocks down in front of the marina that allows overnight parking. We ended up using that most days when we couldn’t find street parking and it worked like a charm.

Great stay--beautiful home, great spaces in which to hang out, a kitchen that was among the best stocked of any airbnb I've stayed in (had everything from a turkey baster to garlic press to tupperware storage containers), and the rooftop deck is amazing!

Loved our stay very comfortable house couch and beds! Beach is right there just a few steps away which was awesome. Parking was difficult towards end of week and garage is very small my suv would not fit. Other than that great stay!! Thank you again

So glad we found this house! Stayed at a couple others on Mission Beach and this one tops all. Location was great, walking distance to everything. Everything in the home was clean and worked! My kids also loved how many sand toys were provided in the garage to play with. The wife and I also enjoyed the chairs and umbrella that was left for fun beach day! Will definitely book again next year!

This property was truly beautiful. One block from having your feet in the ocean and one block from having them in the bay. House was very clean and you truly felt like you were at your own house. Very comfortable and spacious.
