Superior Hosts; very responsive, helpful, and fast communicators! Perfect home for a beach visit; close to everything, well equipped, walk to food, beaches, shops! Home is so very comfortable, welcoming, quiet, and private. We loved the hot tub, sitting on the porch (both so private), hanging inside, and walking around the neighborhood and the beaches. No need for a car at all. This home has everything you will need and we felt exceptionally welcomed and right at home. Absolutely loved our stay in La Jolla because of this rental!!

We loved our stay here! We were visiting San Diego with our 8, 6, and 4 year old and this place was perfect for us! It’s a tad on the expensive side, but in our opinion this house is well worth it. Great location (11 minutes drive to best beach in SD), it had all the beach amenities we needed, and nice/comfortable sleeping situations. Of note the house doesn’t have “Central Air” but did have wall AC units (the detached kind) which was more than enough (our kids were cold on the first night because we set them too low). Would DEFINITELY stay again. Host was also a pleasure to communicate with.

Our stay there was very nice - it was plenty big for us with 3 bed rooms, large kitchen, living room, etc.The place was also in very nice condition and clean. It is about a 10 minute walk to a beach and a 10 minute walk to the downtown section - so very easy to get down there with the nice weather. There are also some nice restaurants that you can walk to only a few minutes away.One thing I would mention for some people is that the parking is not really "onsite" - it is street parking. At first I was concerned, but it turned out that parking on the street was easy and we never had to park more than a few houses away, but I could see this being a problem for older people or maybe mobility impaired if they thought there was a dedicated parking spot.Also - there was air conditioning in the bed rooms. That wasn't listed, so it was a very nice surprise and helped on hot days.Overall we were very happy there and would recommend the location to others.

Just to clear up a quick detail for future guests reading along: as noted in our listing description, the property does not have A/C, but we do leave portable units in the bedrooms strictly as a complimentary extra for a bit of extra breeze on warmer days. We also really appreciate your note on the street parking! It’s usually very easy to find a spot nearby as you mentioned, but we'll make sure that detail stays clear for guests with specific mobility needs. We'd love to welcome you back anytime!

5 Stars – Absolute favorite La Jolla stay after three visitsWe spent 10 days here with five of us (including two preteens) and our two small dogs, and this house completely won us over. I’ve stayed in La Jolla three times now and this was by far my favorite. It has so much character and charm while still feeling comfortable and practical for a real family trip.The location is unbeatable. You’re close to everything: grocery store, restaurants, an animal hospital (handy with dogs), and the Sunday farmers market, yet the street itself stays quiet. It felt like the perfect mix of convenience and calm.The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen especially made it easy to cook at home after long days outside, which we loved. Beds were super comfortable, and the hot tub was a nice way to wind down in the evenings. Our dogs were obsessed with the front yard and the weather—they never wanted to come inside.One note on the weather: It has been unusually warm in La Jolla this summer (2026) It normally isn't an issue to keep windows open. The owners went above and beyond and bought portable units for the bedrooms while we were there. In the main living areas we simply opened the doors and windows while it was cool and then closed everything up to trap the nice air. It worked great.Parking is street-only, but we never had trouble finding spots right out front, especially late day or early morning.A huge thank you to this wonderful family for sharing their home

San Diego vacation rentals were great to deal with in this house was exactly as described. Incredibly cute, close to everything and extremely clean and well stocked. The only thing to consider is that moving forward in the backyard there will be construction, finishing the house, and this towering giant of a house will completely take away the backyard feel because it’s three stories about 30 feet from the window of the back of this property. Other than that, the front yard and the house is incredible.

If I could move into this house, I would !!! We love mid-century modern furniture and the living room and bedrooms had plenty of it, including the beautifully stocked bar glasses, barware, etc... The dining area was amazing and brought us all together and the kitchen had everything you could want, and top end appliances, etc... The gas stove was beautiful and the outdoor grill was fantastic. We had coffee on the porch in the mornings and cocktails in the evening. Lots of folks said hi on their way by and the landscaping was so pretty and created a little oasis in the front yard.

Internet was a little slow, but otherwise, this property is great. The house is very nicely appointed, and the beds (3) are extremely comfortable. The key to this property is the location and the front yard--which is amazing. We were able to walk a few blocks to downtown restaurants and the beach. Neighborhood is quiet and very dog friendly. The front yard is meticulously landscaped. We spent several hours just lounging in the front yard.Highly recommended.

We had an amazing stay at this La Jolla property! It is incredibly spacious and beautifully clutter-free, which made relaxing with our dog so easy. The location is unbeatable-perfectly walkable to fantastic local restaurants and shops, which was a huge plus for us and our fur baby.
I admit was initially a bit skeptical about the jacuzzi being located in the front of the house, but the intentional landscaping provided more than enough privacy to enjoy it. There is a two-story house right next door, but the neighbors never hung out on their balconies or by the windows. We only caught a glimpse of them from a window once, and when we crossed paths outside later on, they just kept to themselves.
The overall stay was absolutely fantastic. The layout, the location, and the amenities. We would definitely come back again!
