The location is fantastic. Close to shops, food and small grocery store. It was nice to have the beach chairs and towels available, one less thing to pack. We cooked most of our meals at the rental. Not a lot of storage so nonperishables had to stay on the counter. There was a black rack in one of the bedrooms, in hindsight we should have used that to stack the food on vs having everything on the counter. You do hear the planes fly overhead, but they stop around 10PM to around 6:30 AM. The main living area does get warm; we had low 70s for most of our stay. The fans provided helped manage the temperature. The bedrooms stayed nice and cool though with the AC on. We would definitely stay here again.

Place was great! Listed pics and description accurate. Location 1 house/150ft to the boardwalk to jog, walk, biker, rollerblade etc and a massive soft sandy beach with good surfing. Kitchen stocked with enough pans, dishes, utensils but needed a cookie sheet and extra towels and host had them deliverd same day by 7pm, excellent. Would definitely again!

The listing stated it is 20 feet from the beach….that’s definitely inaccurate. It’s 1/2 block in and you cannot see the beach from the home. Otherwise everything’s was as stated and the place worked out great. Nice location and amenities. If you drive a large vehicle like me, be prepared to deal with limited parking and many limitations on where you can park. But not impossible. All in all we will definitely come back!

This is such a great place for a San Diego getaway! The location was perfect for us! Our trip included the zoo, Sea World, and and beach and this place was conveniently located for all! Literally steps away from the beach! We spent most of our time out on the patio which is perfectly set up for grilling and allowing little kids to play around! I don’t think we could have found a more perfect place for the price! The ONLY downfall was one of the bedrooms is extremely warm. We had to leave the patio door open at night to get some cool air in there. Aside from that, everything else was perfect!

Avalon is perfect location and home rental for a great vacation at mission beach - it’s a great home, steps from the sand and the patio is absolutely the best! Highly recommend!

We loved our stay, so close to the beach and everything we needed. Coffee house was a quick walk and biking and paddle boarding on the bay. We had mornings on the patio which was perfect!

Wow what an amazing experience. The location the property and the amazing patio space. Of course there are always things that come up. But as long as you are prepared with extra towels for showering and for the Beach, extra toiletries you will be fine we spent every day on the beautiful grill and In the water. I couldn’t of found a better place for my family to hang out for Fathers Day weekend. Thanks so much for a wonderful STAYCATION!!!

Amazing house!! My family and I rent in Mission every summer and this was by far the best house we've had. Super close to the beach, near lg tower 10. If you are familiar with the area it's close to the jetty and less crowded. Beachcombers is a short walk as well as a small market. House was very nice and clean. I'll definitely look for this again next summer.

Great place. 3 bed room cottage 100 feet from the boardwalk / beach. It is on Strandway which gets a lot of traffic but that doesn’t bother our crew. They did a really nice job on the renovation and Avalon is a nice CT. in south Mission. Front patio is very larger with a bbq and fire pit. Highly recommend.
